SYNTHETIC SINTERED MULLITE  (HIGH PURITY)

HIGH PURITY SINTERED MULLITE is used to produce mullite refractory  bricks, shapes and monolithics. The product is manufactured from pure raw materials. Selection of high purity raw materials help to maintain consistent properties of finished products. Homogenized mixture is sintered in tunnel kiln with long soaking which helps better mullitisation than rotary kiln firing. Sintered Mullite in graded forms are tested before despatch.

HIGH PURITY MULLITE SINTER consists of well grown crystals of Mullite in a very large quantity, as it is sintered under controlled conditions. Mullite has a high melting point, excellent resistance to thermal shock, excellent stability under load and good resistance to slag and metal corrosion. Use of Mullite in refractory results in excellent performance under most severe service conditions. Refractory shapes and bricks made from sintered mullite find applications in the following industries in their furnaces :

** Metallurgical
** Glass
** ceramics (Kiln Furniture)

All the above materials are available with Fe₂O₃ (0.5% and 1.25% disignated as (A) and (B) respectively.
